BetterToday is a little today screen plugin that makes it easy for users to personalize their today screen by allowing them to add their designed graphics to it.
It has the option of following the today screen theme if you use monochrome bitmaps and use the proper option which will replace the black with the current theme color and will take out the white from the bitmap.

BetterToday allows you to use two different images to be displayed together. You have different options for displaying each image:
- "mono : theme" : makes the image follow your theme colors (works best with mono bitmaps)
- "color : mask" : makes the image transparent taking away the color of the first pixle in the top left hand corner
- "color : draw" : displays the image as is.
Now you have no restrictions on what will appear in your today screen:
- Use your own hand writing
- Use a different language, any language
- Use symbols
- Use single or multi lines
- Use different fonts and different size (you don’t have to install those fonts in your PocketPC
- Use different colors
