The newObjects ActiveX Pack1 offers file access (binary, text and record based) and access to file-like (streams) and directory-like (storages) objects in one unified way.

This includes OLE files and in-memory streams and also the opportunity to manipulate 3-d party objects that behave like files or directories.

It includes also custom script hosting features, components that allow running scripts or non-script code in background threads (can be used even in ASP), UDS (Universal Data Structures) that allow easy management of in-memory data and one line code to store/restore it to different medias in cross-platform compatible manner (can be used instead of XML in some applications), multipurpose dictionary/collection objects, script packaging tools that allow you write COM objects in script - not using any other tool than a text editor and many others.
