NetSupport raises the bar for remote control and support of mobile devices |

Newly released, NetSupport Manager 10 now provides full Remote Control capabilities for Windows CE, Pocket PC and Windows Mobile devices over traditional IP or HTTP transports.
The latest mobile platform support provides a wealth of new uses for the corporate IT department including:
- The ability to connect back to an office system from your PDA to perform an update or restart. - Allow remote workers to access information directly from office systems while on the road. - Provide a seamless way of managing Pocket PC, CE and Windows Mobile devices in the field from a central and secure location. - Deliver remote updates, changes or documents to your organisations smart phones. - Provide centralised remote support for POS, Stock or inventory gathering devices.
The latest version of NetSupport Manager now also adds:
- Power Management - remote reboot or power off WIN CE and Pocket PC devices. - Gather an Inventory summary from any WIN CE or Pocket PC device. Includes a full hardware and software analysis. - Process Control - Remotely execute or terminate a process on a remote device. - Battery Level reporting - (available on thumbnail view) for appropriate devices. - Remote Wi-Fi signal strength indicator. - Generate automatic help requests when a CE device is docked in its A/S cradle.
Expanding on the latest release, Group Chairman Dave Apsey explains "One of the key features for any mobile solution is the availability and security of the connection between your mobile devices. Manager 10 now features multiple communications gateways ( included as standard) that allow for all remote devices to securely connect to a common location, and subsequently be available for remote support, irrespective of their location, dynamic address or network firewalls. To add to this we have included redundancy support, or more simply, the ability for 2 gateways to communicate and manage remote device availability in parallel to guarantee that connectivity is always possible."
Remote Control and Management is available both to and from mobile devices and works seamlessly over Wireless, GSM, GPRS and 3G connections. In addition NetSupport Manager already provides support for Windows (including Vista), Mac, Linux, and Solaris systems so the latest release delivers a truly unified remote support solution.
