Pragma Systems Mobile Access Solutions Become SymbolPLUS Validated |

Pragma Systems, a leading provider of enterprise-class remote access and security software for Microsoft Windows, enhanced its membership with Symbol Technologies' PartnerSelect ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Partner Program to include SymbolPLUS(TM) Software Validated status. After testing and co-validation, Pragma PocketVT, an SSH client connectivity solution for PocketPC/Windows Mobile, received approval in Symbol's Solution Validation Program. Successful completion of the program indicates that Pragma PocketVT achieved interoperability with a range of Symbol products.
"Pragma Systems co-validated its PocketVT software for compatibility and interoperability with Symbol's MC9060 series of rugged mobile computers running Microsoft Pocket PC 2003, Wi-Fi network infrastructure and mobility management software," said Patrick McCullough, vice president and general manager of Symbol's Solutions Division. "Pragma Systems' PocketVT offers businesses with enterprise-level remote access software for Microsoft-based mobile devices."
Pragma's PocketVT is a comprehensive, high-performance industrial offering. It provides support for both SSH1 and SSH2 protocols, advanced encryptions AES, 3DES and Blowfish, and multi-level data compression. Industrial and individual users now have a commercially available secured, encrypted solution for remotely connecting to servers with their handheld devices. Pragma's PocketVT includes both the new SSH protocol and the widely used telnet protocol. Secure Shell (SSH) is the industry standard protocol for secure remote access to replace Telnet.
