Loquendo Releases New Embedded Speech Recognition Tool |
|
Speech integrators will now have an easier and more accurate way of creating embedded applications thanks to a new release of Loquendo's ASR speech recognition 7.0.6.
The new version of Loquendo ASR Embedded features improved recognition rates, support for larger vocabularies, file storage capabilities and support for pocket PC and other systems.
Using the system, integrators can more accurately create embedded applications that are as vocabulary-rich or as interactive as need be.
Improvements in the recognition model have also allowed the new version to offer better recognition rates as well as the ability to recognize accurate names and street names.
The new version also boasts the ability to now store log files and audio files for Acoustic Model Adaptations and is available in various languages including, English, Castilian, Catalan, Mexican, Chilean, Argentinean, Italian, German, French, Greek, Dutch and others.
Loquendo Embedded 7.0.6 is also able to function in environments with high background noise, as the addition of a manual start/stop feature targets ASR to segments of speech.
A news release noted the new version support includes, "Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC and Windows CE 5.0 for ARMv4i and x86 microprocessor based systems, as well as the software developing environment Visual Studio 2005."
Loquendo made headlines recently with the announcement that Vida-Software is working with them to integrate their Speech Recognition and Text to Speech Technologies into a new technology, Natural Interaction , aimed at enhancing, while also simplifying, user interaction with mobile phones.
