ConnectMe Mobile Launches First Mobility Service Optimized for Small Businesses
ConnectMe Mobile(R) (www.connectmemobile.com) announced today the availability of its ConnectMe Mobile service, the only all-in-one service designed specifically for the mobile communication needs of small businesses. ConnectMe Mobile combines the industry's first mobile PBX (Private Branch eXchange phone system) service for small businesses with workgroup collaboration and document management tools. Now smartphone-equipped mobile employees are never out of contact with colleagues and customers or without access to important company information. ConnectMe Mobile's hosted mobile PBX solution provides small businesses a fully-featured yet easy-to-use phone and workgroup collaboration system that fits in a user's pocket, without the expense, infrastructure or maintenance of similarly-featured enterprise PBX systems.

"Business today never stops. Small and medium sized businesses in particular are increasingly mobile, and require key employees to work when outside the office where laptops, desktop computers and fax machines are not always available," said Scott Seltzer, CEO of ConnectMe Mobile. "Many of our customers have purchased smartphones to meet their mobility needs, only to discover that even the smartest smartphone has limitations. ConnectMe Mobile delivers the proven communications capabilities of virtual PBXs to smartphones, enhancing built-in capabilities so mobile employees have a simple yet powerful means to work together, from wherever they happen to be working."

The ConnectMe Mobile service is easily deployed and configured by people with limited technical skills and does not require any equipment to be purchased or installed, making it ideal for home-based businesses or small businesses with employees in many locations. The ConnectMe Mobile service is built on a proven, scalable, 'virtual PBX' platform that already provides tens of thousands of small business users with communication services for their offices. ConnectMe Mobile 1.0 adds advanced mobile communications capabilities specifically optimized for Windows Mobile(R) smartphones, enabling mobile employees to work collaboratively in real-time regardless of where they are.

ConnectMe Mobile is very user-friendly and significantly enhances the use and functionality of important services such as voicemail and faxes. Users can access and configure all of the key mobile communication features of ConnectMe Mobile 1.0 directly from their PDA phones. Features include:

— Visual voicemail - graphically displays voicemail messages in an email-like window so users can quickly identify, skip, listen and respond to the most important messages as easily as they can email on their PC. Visual voicemail is far more convenient for mobile users than calling into a voicemail box where messages are heard in the order they are received.

— FollowMe call control - lets users easily forward calls to other phones ensuring important calls are never missed when a user is at a location where cell phone use is prohibited (e.g. hospital), unreliable (e.g. locations with spotty cellular coverage) or unavailable (e.g. remote customer locations or exotic vacation destinations).

— Audio email - lets users record and send voice messages to any contacts in the user's Microsoft Outlook(R) address book or ConnectMe Mobile service extension to easily communicate with one or more people when it is inconvenient to write an email or when it is necessary to convey emotion.

— Personal fax - an innovative 'point-and-drag' viewer lets users read faxes on their smartphones much more easily. This feature is particularly important for mobile employees without access to a fax machine or laptop.

— ConnectMe Docs - lets users easily and securely manage documents and work collaboratively from both PCs and smartphones using encrypted web-based shared and personal folders with hosted server space that begins at 1gigabyte - enough to store thousands of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and other documents.

The ConnectMe Mobile service is hosted at several carrier-class facilities nationwide where the company has installed redundant, fault-tolerant servers. This virtual, hosted model protects users against service outages and shields them from the complex installation, integration and configuration of competing hardware-based PBX solutions that require costly on-site equipment and qualified IT professionals.

"As a criminal defense attorney, it's crucial for me to stay connected to my clients, colleagues and critical documents at all times, and ConnectMe Mobile allows me to do all this directly and easily from my smartphone," said Mario Gallucci, a partner with the law firm of Helbock, Nappa and Gallucci. "I'm often in court without access to a computer or able to answer my phone, but ConnectMe Mobile ensures that my calls are answered and acted upon by my assistant or colleagues and it allows me to access and share critical documents without delay."

"Many businesses today are building out their own VoIP infrastructure, which leaves them with the challenge of integrating that infrastructure with mobile services," said Matthias Machowinski, directing analyst, Enterprise Voice and Data, Infonetics Research. By going with mobility-enabled hosted VoIP and data services, such as ConnectMe's Mobile offering, businesses have one less thing to worry about, while at the same time providing their workforce with cutting-edge communication services."

The ConnectMe Mobile service is currently available in the United States for Windows Mobile(R) PDA phones, with support for more countries, platforms and devices to follow this year. For maximum mobility, all of the ConnectMe Mobile service's features can be configured directly from the user's smartphone or from a PC over the Internet. The service is priced as low as $6.00 per month per user on multi-user plans. Users can sign up for the service and obtain the simple-to-install software at www.connectmemobile.com.

Smartphones currently supported by ConnectMe Mobile include the Cingular 8125 and Cingular 8525; the Palm Treo 700w, Palm Treo 700wx and Palm Treo 750; the Qwest Pocket PC 6700Q; the Verizon XV6700; the Samsung SCHi730 and others. The company also plans to support the Motorola Q, the Samsung BlackJack, T-Mobile Dash and others shortly.
