Database development software for Windows mobile devices SYWARE has released updated Visual CE software that supports Windows Mobile devices without touchscreens, such as the Motorola Q and Samsung BlackJack. The database development software allows users to build applications for all types of Windows mobile devices: Pocket PC, Pocket PC Phone Edition, and now, Smartphone. With this release, Visual CE can be used to create applications for all Windows Mobile devices, even if they do not have a touchscreen. Developers can create a single application that, with only minor modifications, can run on all Windows mobile devices, including the Motorola Q, the Samsung Blackjack, the HP I-Mate, the Dopod StrTrk S300, and the HTC MteoR, Smartphones promoted by Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, Cingular, Rogers, AT&T, O2, Vodafone, Orange, Nokia, and others. Introduced in 1996, Visual CE is a drag-and-drop desktop development environment that has enabled developers to easily create feature-rich data-centric applications for Windows Mobile touchscreen devices with little or no programming. There are well over 100,000 Visual CE-built applications in use, and Visual CE has won Smartphone and Pocket PC magazine's "Best Database Software" award for the past three years. Smartphone-supporting releases of Visual CE are available now and are free to most registered users of Visual CE 10.x. Visual CE Personal Edition, which includes full forms design, relational database, and synchronization capabilities, is priced at $129. Visual CE Professional Edition, which includes all the features of the Personal Edition as well as royalty-free distribution rights, is $399.
