e-MDs Wins Three TEPR Awards |

e-MDs, a leading provider of electronic health record and practice management software, announced that it has been given TEPR 2007 Awards by the Medical Records Institute, Inc. The TEPR Awards recognize outstanding healthcare information system solutions.
e-MDs was awarded 1st place honors in the Continuity of Care Awards for Vendors category, 2nd place for the Pediatric Challenge and 3rd place in the Mobile Applications for Healthcare category. The TEPR Award honorees were officially recognized and announced at the TEPR Conference last week.

TEPR's Continuity of Care award is designed to recognize vendors who have developed, marketed and implemented systems that support continuity of care through integration of the Continuity of Care Record (CCR) data set into their electronic health record software. e-MDs won first place honors due to its complete support for the Continuity of Care Record (CCR) that enables e-MDs customers to exchange patient health records with physicians running different electronic health record systems. TEPR and the American Academy of Pediatrics teamed up to this year to put electronic health records to a head-to-head pediatric visit documentation challenge. e-MDs shined in this competition, coming in 2nd place in a very tight race where only a few points separated the first and
second place positions.
TEPR also acknowledged e-MDs with 3rd place honors in the Mobile Applications category. e-MDs Companion enables physicians to efficiently manage their appointment schedules, capture charges, and record clinical activity via a Pocket PC mobile device.
