I.R.I.S. Receives the "Best Product Innovation" award for the IRISPen at the Digital Consumer Channel (DCC) Middle East & Africa
Brussels, June 6th, 2007 - I.R.I.S. Group (Euronext Brussels: IRI) a market leader in Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR), Electronic Document Management (EDM) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), announced today that the company won the "Best Product Innovation" at the Digital Consumer Channel Middle East and Africa (May 15th - 17th) for the IRISPen.
For this award, the leading retailers and distributors in the Middle East & Africa evaluate and recognize products for their innovation and ingenuity.
Also nominated in the "Best Product Innovation" category: iDo Pocket PC, Gear 4 BluEye, Promate Technologies, Lexmark, NEUS, Altec Lansing.
For the past 3 years, Digital Consumer Channel MEA has been recognized as one of the computers retailing industry's leading honors.
The DCC MEA defines itself as the " The Defining Event for the Retail Channel in Middle East & Africa" and was launched in 2005 in Dubai for the MEA region. It drew support from major international vendors such as Hewlett Packard, Philips, Sony, APC, ATI, AMD, and Maxtor. The sold-out event, held on May 15th-17th May in Fujairah hosted 120 Senior Executive for MEA's high Volume Consumer IT and Digital retailers. At this event, I.R.I.S. presented its Spring & Summer campaign and our new releases for the back to school in the fall of 2007.
