NCP Secure CE Client gains Mobile to Market signature from Microsoft |

NCP Engineering GmbH has extended the support offered by its Secure Entry CE Client for Microsoft’s Windows CE operating system and the newest version of Microsoft’s mobile software platform, Windows Mobile 6.0. The Secure Entry CE Client has been officially signed by Microsoft's Mobile to Market Initiative. A universal VPN client, it also supports secure integration of smart-phones and Pocket PCs into the corporate network.
The Secure CE Client supports the Standard, Classic, and Professional versions of Windows Mobile 6.0, and provides highly secure access to the corporate data network via a VPN tunnel for smart-phone and Pocket PC users. In addition, other mobile providers and manufacturers of mobile devices can also use the NCP client to offer VPN services to their customers.
The Secure Entry CE client communicates with VPN gateways from different manufacturers and is suitable for use in any remote access VPN environment. An integrated configuration wizard for the configuration PC and an intuitive graphic user interface on the mobile end device ensure that the client is convenient and easy to use.
A special connection mode for e-mail push services ensures automatic re-establishment of the VPN tunnel to the central VPN gateway. Intelligent connection management also prevents interruption of a wireless connection while data is being transferred, for example in the event of wireless failures or when changing access points in the WLAN or at hotspots.
Secure CE Client also supports strong authentication processes and has an integrated personal firewall.
Version 2.3x of the Secure Entry CE Client is available immediately from NCP sales partners. A 30-day full version of the Secure Entry Client is available for testing and can be downloaded from: http://www.ncp.de/english/download/testsoftware/index.html.
