Birdstep is awarded a contract with a major security company on the small footprint mobile database product for a twenty-year life-cycle project. The product will be licensed and embedded into the next generation security application product for global distribution. Oslo, Seattle - July 5rd - Birdstep Technology (OSE: BIRD) the leading provider of secure seamless mobility and connectivity software for laptop, PDA`s and Smartphones, as well as state-of-the-art embedded database technologies, today announced that a major security system provider has selected Birdstep`s RDM Mobile v5.1 database solution and will integrate it into the company`s next generation security application product. The customer chose Birdsteps RDM Mobile for data storage because of its high performance, low- memory footprint and proven resilience, stability and reliability over long cycles of usage as well as the wide platform support provided.
Another important requirement from the customer was the ability to deliver products on the required architecture. The products will be distributed globally in a project that is planned to last for at least twenty years.
