Azaleos Names Longtime Microsoft Veteran Scott Gode as Vice President |

Azaleos(R) Corporation (http://www.azaleos.com), leading provider of turnkey, on-premises, managed solutions for Microsoft Exchange environments, today announced the appointment of Scott Gode as Vice President of Marketing. Gode will immediately assume responsibility for developing and executing the company's overall marketing and product-management strategy. Gode will report to Phil Van Etten, Chief Executive Officer of Azaleos.
Azaleos enables its customers to meet Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 high availability needs, minimize operational resources and eliminate e- mail infrastructure maintenance and management burden. Azaleos continues to exhibit industry leading growth, quadrupling the number of active user seats over this same period last year, and managing delivery of over 75 million e- mail messages for its customers.

Gode brings more than 17 years of technology market experience. A 14-year Microsoft veteran, Gode most recently served as a Senior Marketing Executive for Microsoft's IT Pro marketing team. Prior to that Gode previously held a variety of product management, marketing and product planning roles in the Office, Windows Mobile and Exchange product groups. During a long stint on the Mobility business at Microsoft, Gode oversaw Windows Mobile marketing and business development and was focused on selling and marketing the Microsoft Pocket PC and Smartphone to various business, OEM and consumer/retail segments and audiences as well as to key Mobile Operator stakeholders worldwide. Gode was one of the original product managers for Microsoft Office Outlook and played a key role in its initial naming and market introduction during the mid-90s.
Prior to his tenure at Microsoft, Gode held various product management and marketing positions at Motorola, American Airlines and Thomas Cook Travel. Gode holds an MBA degree from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree from Stanford University. Gode has worked and studied internationally in Germany, the UK and Austria. A native of Kirkland, Washington, Gode currently lives in Bellevue, Wash. with his wife and two sons.
