Spb Pocket Plus 4.0 Released

Google Mobile Applications Updates
Google has created several popular applications for mobile devices and this week has seen an update on several fronts.
GMail Mobile, a Java-based client for reading GMail, has been updated to version 1.5. This upgrade includes integrations to contacts, the ability to save draft messages, and lower bandwidth usage.
Google Maps Mobile has been released for Symbian/S60 devices. This native Google Maps client features GPS integration, meaning that it works with the device's built-in GPS antenna. The S60 native version also includes contacts and web integration for searching contacts and businesses that are already stored on device. Google Maps Mobile for S60 is a free application.

LobsterTunes Named Winner of the Treo Windows Mobile Challenge
Streaming media has become a popular arena for mobile devices applications and LobsterTunes is one that has made a favorable impression on many. Electric Pocket's LobsterTunes media player for Windows Mobile has won the Treo Windows Mobile Challenge sponsored by Palm, Inc. and Microsoft. As the Grand Prize Champion, it has won a lucrative prize package topped off by $10,000 cash.
Entrants were challenged to develop or port software to the Windows Mobile platform. Entries were judged on concept originality, general usability, specific mobile-based utility, reliability/compatibility, and the "Wow" factor of graphical look and feel.
LobsterTunes is a full-featured MP3 player which also provides over-the-air access to a music collection stored on a home PC, the ability to listen to Internet radio, or listen to tunes stored on memory cards.
