Mobile internet solutions specialist Roundpoint has unveiled its latest PDA software, allowing customers burdened under an increasing load of Health & Safety forms to complete the paperwork just once, from the comfort of their handheld devices.
The software, developed for BSI British Standards and designed specifically for PDAs and pocket PCs, enable customers to complete health and safety assessments on mobile devices, cutting out the need for paper and saving time and money.
As they previously had to be completed twice, once on paper and once on a PC, the entire task is now simplified as the completed assessment automatically uploads to the PC and can be printed out immediately on return to the office.
Health & Safety assessments are a legal requirement so the market for the new digital assessment tool is likely to grow rapidly.
The Roundpoint system adapts to the device the user is operating at the time, and by making use of mobile web technologies, the service is delivered to wireless PDAs and smartphones as a web service.
