SplashData, a producer of software for smartphones, announced new versions of their SplashMoney and SplashID 4 software including two-way synchronization. While SplashMoney is a personal finance application specially designed for the Mac OS X, SplashID 4 is a manager that secures the safety of your password.
Founded in 2000, SplashData is a private company based in Silicon Valley, Calif. SplashData's products have received widespread acclaim from industry experts and customers. They have manyHandango ( News - Alert) Champion Awards, Pocket PC Magazine’s Best Software Award, and awards from PalmGear and Bityard to their credit.
Both applications match their respective mobile applications perfectly well, to suit the handsets. The company also announced a standalone version of SplashMoney for Mac OS X for users that do not have a compatible mobile device.
Mac users can now record any transaction, track account balances, generate reports and budgets, and manage finances with stepping into a bank. Their own personal (mobile) financial manager has wireless access to online bank accounts and can take care of all the above mentioned, including checking, savings, credit card, cash, asset, liability, and money market accounts safely and securely.
The SplashID 4 comes with considerable updates such as Web Auto-Fill, where a user can directly retrieve their username and password from SplashID to auto-fill in the record without actually having to go through the web browser. Other key features in SplashID 4 include the new Panel and Tree views, where you can easily find and view information, and an Auto Search feature that retrieves records.
This can also select multiple databases to synchronize with on the Mac desktop. Users who have mastered the SplashID 4 can share data with other users across a network with the new Database Sync feature.
Security and confidentiality of one’s data especially of a financial nature is the main concern when it comes to being mobile, and out of the safety of a bank. But with SplashMoney and SplashID 4 come with a password protected system that uses a 256-bit Blowfish encryption to protect against malicious hacking or other threats.
The SplashMoney and SplashID versions that include both handheld and desktop applications are currently $29.95 each, as part of the SplashWallet Suite. This includes SplashID, SplashPhoto, SplashShopper, and SplashMoney. The desktop-only versions of SplashMoney and SplashID, for both Windows and Mac, are available for $19.95.
