Metrix Attains Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Status

Service management software vendor Metrix recently announced that it has earned Gold Certified Partner status within the Microsoft Partner Program with competencies in Mobility Solutions and ISV/Software Solutions. As a Gold Certified Partner, Metrix has earned the highest level of certification recognized by Microsoft, demonstrating their expertise with Microsoft technologies and their ability to meet the needs of customers.

Metrix offers comprehensive service management software and mobile field service solutions that allow leading companies such as Ericsson, Ingenico and Olympus to accelerate service delivery, automate reverse logistics, increase first-call resolutions, optimize route schedules and grow contract revenue.

"Achieving this status is a reflection of our commitment to continually enhancing our technology and product functionality," says Tom Bowe, Vice President of Engineering and Product Marketing for Metrix. "The Gold Partner Certification is a mark of excellence and recognition of Metrix's commitment to providing leading-edge solutions and assuring the highest levels of quality and service."

"Becoming Gold Certified represents another milestone in the growth of Metrix's field service solutions, built on the .NET 3.0 platform," says John Harvieux, Information Technology Manager for Metrix. "It shows that we can help companies bridge the gap between their business demand and technology capabilities."

As one of the requirements for attaining Gold Certified Partner status, Metrix needed to achieve one or more Microsoft Competencies. Microsoft Competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner's capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of solution. Each competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the technology industry.

The Microsoft ISV/Software Solutions Competency recognizes the skill and focus partners bring to a particular solution set. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners that have obtained this competency have a successful record of developing and marketing packed software based on Microsoft technologies.

Partners that attain the Mobility Solutions Competency have proven competency in developing and deploying Windows Mobile-based solutions and applications using Microsoft products including Windows Mobile software for Pocket PC and Smartphone.

"Solutions competencies such as Mobility Solutions make it easier for partners to position their skills to customers, better align their business with Microsoft's marketing initiatives, and form closer relationships with other partners," said John Traynor, director of business and partner marketing at Microsoft Corp. "By ensuring that our partners are proficient in delivering Windows Mobile-based solutions and applications more quickly and easily, we are able to help our partners provide solutions that enable customers to access information on the go, to increase employee productivity and customer response rates while reducing business cycles and, ultimately, costs."
