InfoStreet rolling out new version of its workflow module

InfoStreet Inc., a Tarzana, Calif., software-as-a-service provider of office productivity applications, will roll out version 4 of its Smart Tasks component next week. Smart Tasks, part of the StreetSmart suite of office productivity applications, is aimed at small- to mid-sized firms in need of business workflow features.

Among the improvements are simplified task creation (to help keep track of important to-do's within the firm), task fluidity (meaning that if someone creates a task for you, but hasn't provided you with enough information you simply return the task to them and request clarification), improved synchronization of tasks with Outlook, Palm, Pocket PC and Blackberry, and improved integration with StreetSmarts CRM module, according to the firm.

Among InfoStreets many other online offerings are virus- and spam-protected e-mail, e-mail archiving, calendaring, contact relationship management, file sharing, and other applications.

The suite will cost between $60 per month for a 10-person license of the standard edition up to $275 per month for the platinum version which includes technical support and other additional features.

Two-factor authentication in a slim easy-to-use, marketable form

The RSA SecurID 1100 Display Card is now available from RSA, the security division of EMC of Hopkinton, Mass. Advisers and their clients can use the cards to help ensure security by adding a second layer of authentication on top of an online password.

This event-based, one-time password authenticator is a wallet-sized card that can be used to secure customer accounts with two-factor authentication.

The OTP is displayed on the card surface and changes every time the button on the card is pushed, making it very easy for consumers to use.

The card is powered by RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 software and the RSA SecurID Authentication Engine and it can be customized with the issuing financial institutions logo and can also be personalized with individual consumer information.

Visit the RSA SecurID Display Cardonline for more information.
