Microsoft has called a creative pitch in the Philippines to select agencies for a number of projects including a campaign for its Windows Mobile application.
Up to eight agencies including Arc Worldwide Philippines and local full-service shop BCD Pinpoint are currently awaiting a decision.
Sources close to the pitch said that the computer giant was looking for a creative agency for Windows Mobile while others will be picked for a couple of smaller projects.
First launched in 2000 as Pocket PC 2000, Windows Mobile is a compact operating system for mobile devices.
In its recently completed fiscal year, Microsoft sold more than 18 million Windows Mobile software licences worldwide, falling short of its 20 million unit target.
